How alternatives compare to Noctua
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White Dual Tower
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White offers broader socket compatibility than the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4. It supports AM4, AM5, LGA 1851, and LGA 1200, whereas the Noctua is limited to AM4. This dual-tower design includes six heat pipes and two fans for strong cooling performance. It measures 6.18 inches in length and 5.31 inches in width. You gain support for newer Intel platforms without buying a different cooler. The white aesthetic matches the Noctua’s visual appeal. However, it lacks the bundled aesthetic covers that come with the Noctua bundle. You should choose this if you need cross-platform flexibility or plan to upgrade your CPU socket in the future.
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE White ARGB
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE White ARGB adds addressable RGB lighting to the white aesthetic. The Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 does not include RGB features. This Thermalright model supports AM4, AM5, LGA 1851, LGA 1700, and LGA 1200 sockets. It uses six heat pipes and includes fans for cooling. The dimensions are slightly different, with a width of 0.98 inches and a height of 4.72 inches. You get customizable lighting effects that the Noctua lacks. This option is ideal if you want visual customization alongside dual-tower cooling performance. It fits users who prioritize RGB integration over the specific bundled aesthetic covers provided by the Noctua bundle.
Thermalright Assassin X 120 White ARGB
The Thermalright Assassin X 120 White ARGB is a single-fan solution, unlike the dual-fan Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4. It is significantly more compact, measuring 5.83 inches in length and 2.8 inches in height. This makes it suitable for cases with limited clearance. It supports AM4, AM5, LGA 1851, LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 1150, and LGA 1151 sockets. The unit includes four heat pipes and ARGB lighting. You give up the massive cooling potential of the Noctua’s dual-tower design for a smaller footprint. This cooler is best for users who need a white aesthetic but have space constraints. It is a practical choice for compact builds where the Noctua’s larger dimensions would not fit.
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White provides dual-tower cooling similar to the Noctua but without bundled aesthetic covers. It supports AM4, AM5, LGA 1851, LGA 1700, and LGA 1200 sockets, offering wider compatibility than the AM4-only Noctua. The unit uses six heat pipes and includes fans. Its dimensions are 6.18 inches in length and 5.31 inches in width. You get a clean white look with aluminum construction. This option is ideal if you prioritize RAM clearance and silent operation. It is a solid choice for users who want strong thermal performance without the specific visual customization of the Noctua’s chromax.white covers. It serves those who need cross-platform support with a white aesthetic.
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White ARGB Cooler
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White ARGB Cooler combines dual-tower cooling with addressable RGB lighting. The Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 lacks RGB features. This Thermalright model supports AM4, AM5, LGA 1851, LGA 1700, LGA 1150, and LGA 1151 sockets. It uses six heat pipes and includes fans. The dimensions are 6.1 inches in height and 5.31 inches in width. You gain customizable lighting effects and broader socket support. This cooler is suitable for users who want a white aesthetic with RGB integration. It is a good choice for modern AMD and Intel platforms where visual customization is desired. You trade the Noctua’s bundled aesthetic covers for RGB lighting and wider compatibility.
Thermalright Assassin X 120R White CPU Cooler
The Thermalright Assassin X 120R White CPU Cooler is a compact single-fan option, differing from the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4’s dual-fan design. It measures 6.1 inches in length and 2.8 inches in height, making it suitable for smaller cases. It supports AM4, AM5, LGA 1851, LGA 1200, LGA 1150, and LGA 1151 sockets. The unit includes ARGB lighting and a fan. You get a white aesthetic with visual customization that the Noctua lacks. This cooler is best for users who prioritize a compact form factor and RGB lighting. It is a suitable choice for standard AM4 systems where case clearance is limited.
